Handy is pleased to announce its new formal DNA testing program for crab meat, soft crabs, oysters and artisanal fish.
“Although we have many internal procedures in place to avoid any species substitutions, we wanted to take this additional step to provide further assurance” stated Terry Conway, President. “With our overall company focus on transparency, we felt it important to add this program and to include all of our seafood.”
To ensure validation procedures, Handy selected a qualified lab that has seafood experience and a validated reference database recognized by the FDA for continual testing.
